Kathy joins EHS after 30 years of working in the hospitality industry in the San Francisco Bay area and Hawaii. It all began in college at Stanford University while as a student she worked in the university foodservice and a student-operated group of dining clubs and kitchens where she experienced all positions from cooking, social director, and manager which led to a GM role overseeing 5 locations. Kathy graduated with degrees in Human Biology and Communication with an area of concentration in organizations and management.
The work in college drove the passion to serve people in a restaurant environment. Kathy went to work for Brinker International as a Manager, GM and Managing Partner for Chilis Grill and Bar giving her a thorough foundation for restaurant operational systems, P&L, training, and a people development-focused culture. Kathy then wanted to branch out and learn more on the Human Resources side of the operations. She joined Pacific Meritage a franchise operator of restaurants in California and Hawaii. Over the last 20 years, her hats included Director of Training, Recruiter, Area Director, and most recently Senior Managing Director supporting the President in all aspects of the business.
A well-planned recruiting and retention strategy is always in play within all of her experience and she understands what a company needs from a recruiter as well as how to help individuals find their perfect match based on corporate culture and skill set.
Kathy has a passion for seeing people grow in their careers as well as helping companies build successful teams within operations and a corporate environment. She will work hard to match companies with the perfect candidate. When not working Kathy enjoys fitness, movies, her children, and exploring restaurants with friends.
