Colin joined EHS Hospitality after working in hotels and restaurants for 22 years. At a young age he became fascinated by working in restaurant kitchens and decided to pursue a career as a chef. He dedicated himself to studying Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and graduated in 2002. After graduation he traveled for one year in Palma de Mallorca, Spain gaining language skills and new cooking techniques. Upon his return he officially began his career in downtown Chicago at the historic Walnut Room. A passion for scratch cooking eventually led him to the position of Executive Chef at The Creamery Restaurant. There he focused on farm to table cooking in the Wisconsin countryside. During his time there he met his wife Kitsi who was also in the industry. Together they decided to move towards the sunny beaches of Southwest Florida and found positions with D’amico and Partners in Naples, Florida. At their Café and Bar Lurcat concept he learned front of the house operations in a fine dining environment. This experience proved invaluable as in 2008 set out to open his own concepts. The first was a wine bar concept named Avenue Wine Café and later a trendy restaurant concept named 7th Avenue Social. Colin loves living in South Florida with his wife and two daughters and looks forward to partnering with you to achieve your goals in the hospitality industry.
